Independence Seaport Museum

Independence Seaport Museum’s south entrance renovation transformed approximately 3,000 square feet into a more welcoming and accessible arrival experience. The reconfigured space includes a new entrance vestibule and ticket lobby designed to improve visitor circulation and create a clear transition into the museum’s galleries.

The scope included new aluminum storefront entrances, accessible automatic doors, fire-rated glazed openings, flooring, lighting, and supporting HVAC, electrical, security, and fire-protection upgrades. The improvements were carefully integrated with the museum’s existing boat shop, exhibition areas, and distinctive waterfront building. The project was completed in collaboration with A K Architecture.
